Hi Irely,
yes, that's possible but you must keep license compliance in mind. If you have authorized user licenses, shared accounts are not permitted.
We have the following set up: If there are standard reports that have to run indefinitely, we use technical service accounts. Each administrator has one of these accounts assigned of which the password never expires. The capabilities of these technical accounts are reduced to only have access to the data sources needed for the reports, access to all e-mail capabilities and write permissions for the folders where the reports are stored.
Regular users of our BI system do not know these accounts. If they create schedules, they are advised to update their password every time they change it in the authentication namespace. Otherwise the schedules do not run.
The report or report view does not have to be owned by the service accounts. Their credentials are stored in the schedule and can be changed here (when logged in):

Ask your admin about the possibility to add servie accounts to the system.

Subject: Generic Scheduler User
Three weeks ago, we encountered an issue after I changed my password-the scheduler stopped running reports.
The following day, when I noticed the problem, I manually ran the critical reports using the "Run Once" option. Shortly after, the scheduled reports began processing normally again.
We'd like to prevent this from happening in the future.
Does anyone know if it's possible to assign a generic user as the Scheduler User? If so, how can that be set up?
Thank you,
Irely
