The Package dependencies section mentions the dependencies for each package, all of which are available on http://www.perzl.org/aix
Follow the dependencies recursively until all have been installed.

I have done the same and it worked.

If u could see above all those required packages were already available..........I also tied with the rpm commands as shown below
rpm -qpR gcc-c++-4.2.4-1.aix5.3.ppc.rpm
gcc = 4.2.4-1
libstdc++-devel = 4.2.4-1
AIX-rpm >= 5.3.0.0
libc.a(shr.o)
libiconv.a(shr4.o)

Can U please tell me where it could have went wrong

Install

libgcc --> no deps
info --> needs libintl.a (so you may have to install gettext with --nodesp before this)
libiconv -->deps needs: gettext --: gettext (gettext has the libintl.a) gettext in turn needs expat and glib2
libstdc++
libstdc++-devel
...
in that order
I think b/w gettext and glib2 there is some stupid dependency deadlock, try installing gettext with --nodeps.

You will have to keep doing the -qpR and installing all the dependencies, unfortunately there is no statically linked binary, if any older version of package was already present use the --force option.

This method worked for me although it was very tedious.
