    Hi everyone,

    I think it's worth sharing that IBM development found a problem in FlashCopy processing where BRMS failed to block sending updates to a system while it is in flash copy mode. When a system is in FlashCopy mode, other systems in the network should see this and incoming communications should be blocked. This specific problem exists in 7.4 and later in BR1 and BR2. The problem is being fixed in the upcoming quarterly PTFs planned for June 2025.

    Until the fixing PTF is applied, users will need to find the volumes used by the system that did the FC backup, then do a WRKMEDBRM option 2 on the volumes and hit enter without making any changes. This should be done after all systems have completed the FC process.
