  • 1.  Fixlet for ILMT 9.2.24 Download error

    Trying to run Fixlet for ILMT upgrade to 9.2.24. The Linux file download is complete, but the Windows file reaches 49.9% then stops. Eventually fails with Download error:

    "HTTP Error 18: An unknown error occurred while transferring data from the

    server: transfer closed with 548750846 bytes remaining to read". Repeat attempts fail with same error at exactly the same point. Can someone please advise how I go about diagnosing where the problem might lie. Thanks.

    Hello Joe,

    Is it the same environment as reported by you recently in a case? If yes, then note the latest status in the case was that content downloaded was being altered on the way resulting with the message like "Error processing completed download: Requested sha1 ... does not match actual sha1 ...". Note it indicates that the file downloaded is altered _during_ the download, so the final file checksum does not match the defined one. In such a situation you need to reach to your network team to investigate further how such download is being handled. Usually this kind of issue results from a proxy server blocking/altering download due to security reasons.

    Hi, yes it is the same case. The message regarding 'sha1... does not match actual sha1' was received after the download had stalled for a length of time, then the fixlet retried the download, which then appears to continue past 49.9% to 100% and then issues the message about sha1 mismatch. Not sure how relevant that mismatch error is, as the main problem is the download stalling at 49.9%.

    Can you confirm if the action script is correct in attempting to download the WINDOWS file, when the operating system is LINUX.

    Also we would like to know where BigFix is picking up the 'Free Space on System Drive' value from on the LMT server. It is showing a value of 3093 MB, but we cannot see any filesystem on the server with that amount of free space.
