• 1.  Facing issue while running server.bat for wm8

Posted Tue August 24, 2010 09:00 PM

Hi,

I installed wm8 in my local system windows 7.
Whenever I m running server.bat file I am getting below message
\Java\jre6\lib\ext\QTJava.zip was unexpected at this time.

i have deleted QTJava.zip from that location but still getting the same error :confused:

Appreciate prompt response here.

Windows 7 is not supported yet so that may be one reason. However, open your setenv.bat script and look for JAVA_DIR. Where is it pointing? It should be pointing to C:\SoftwareAG\jvm\win160\jre or something similar.

Hi Percio,

Thanks for ur reply …

I am bit shocked to know that webMethods is not supported on Windows 7 :frowning:

my javaDir is pointed to

JAVA_DIR=C:\SoftwareAG\jvm\w64_160\jre
which is expected …

any idea how I can make it work …

Windows 7 has now been certified: http://communities.softwareag.com/ecosystem/communities/public/webmethods/news/home/wbm_news.html

If you’re still experiencing issues, you can open a ticket with support. Now, what’s interesting to me is that the error seems to be referencing a different path than what you have set in your JAVA_DIR (i.e. \Java\jre6 instead of C:\SoftwareAG\jvm\w64_160\jre). It could be an environment configuration issue.

If you look at your environment variables, do you have a JAVA_HOME variable set? Does your PATH include the bin directory of any Java installation directories? If so, you may try changing these variables so they point to your Software AG JVM installation. This may help pin-point the actual issue.
