Jose:
Yes you can perform logical log rollforward using older external or onbar archives to a point in time following a later archive.

Subject: External backups/restores and logical restoring of logs passed last Level-0 backup
Hi,
We are considering doing disk snap-shots with external backups which are very fast, and still continue doing daily onbar level-0 and, of course, keep doing onbar logical log backups.
One doubt we had, and could not find clear doc about this, is if it is possible to restore an older Level-0 or external backup, and still roll-forward logs to the latest point-in-time. For example:
- At 7:00AM: perform an external backup
 - At 20:00PM, do an onbar L-0 (standard no Whole) backup
 - At 22:00PM could i perform an external restore (of the backup made at 7:00AM) and still restore all logs to the latest point in time (22:00PM) taking into account an onbar L0 backup happened at 20:00PM ?

-- Of course, we backup logical logs all the time and everytime we fill a log we back it up.
Thanks!
Jose
