I had followed the documentation shared earlier https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/node/6403307?myns=swgimgmt&mynp=OCSSZJPZ&mync=E&cm_sp=swgimgmt-_-OCSSZJPZ-_-E and this worked for last couple of weeks. But now the issue to edit assembly has re-appeared and this time with the error "Flash Player Error. This application requires an Adobe Flash Player ActiveX control of version 10 or later"

Any advise is really appreciated. Thanks.

You have 3 options:

1. use the web version of the Hierarchical Stage. Alas this is not really usuable so not a viable option.
2. use Harman alternative flashplayer. See https://services.harman.com/partners/adobe
3. Ditch the hierarchical stage and recreate the functionality in another way. For reading the xml files there are lots of other, mostly faster, ways possible. Such as loading the xml file in a database and using XQuery to parse it. Or parsing it and creating a flat file whcih can be read easily. Or using an avro file format.

I am using hierarchical stage to read data from REST API's. The data is huge to first download and then isert. Alternatively if I want to go ahead and use Harman, I suppose it is not for free. But if it is the requirement of the tool, is there no plan to have that flashplayer readily available for download.
