It's quite possible that after a recent iOS update, the iPhone defaulted to saving photos in HEIC format-even if the file extension shows as .JPG. Sometimes, when photos are transferred to a PC, the phone automatically converts them to JPG, but the underlying encoding or metadata can still cause compatibility issues with certain systems, especially web uploaders or document management platforms. Resaving them in Photoshop likely re-encoded them into a standard JPG format, which is why it worked. You might want to check the iPhone settings under Camera > Formats and set it to "Most Compatible" (or something like that) to avoid this in the future.

Does anyone know what this means? I have a user who is trying to attach photos to a service request and getting this error. The images are around 3 megs and are jpg. If I open them up in photoshop and simply export them as a jpg they attach fine and work. This person has entered many requests before by taking pictures with the same phone.
Any thoughts are appreciated.
