Error (2052): Excel data is not importing into SPSS

  • 1.  Error (2052): Excel data is not importing into SPSS

    I'm using IBM SPSS statistics 24 & Excel 2008. I'm trying to import survey data of about 350 cases into SPSS. However, spss is giving me the error (2052), stating that the excel file is still open, when it is not.

    I've tried restarting my laptop, renaming and moving the file, turning the xlxs file into a csv file, but nothing has worked.

    What else could i try to fix this issue?

    Hi Jorge,


    This Tech-note states that I should close the excel file & try again, which I have done several times. Yet, this hasn't worked.

    What else could I do?
