    Why is it that entitled capacity is specific to IBM POWER and not x86 platforms? I'm assuming it's because how the hypervisor is implemented?

     

    Grateful for any feedback that makes this concept more clear to me.

    It's just semantics.  The resources of the managed system is a shared pool and one LPAR is entitled to the resources defined for it.
