Is the “EntireX Miniruntime” sufficient to run .NET applications ?

    Thanks,

    Hi Rabia,

if your .NET application contains a copy of .NET Wrapper runtime (SoftwareAG.EntireX.NETWrapper.Runtime.dll), then it is sufficient to install the EntireX mini-runtime to run your (client-) application (with Broker and RPC server running on a different machine). Making a copy of the referenced assemblies is the default setting in Visual Studio .NET.

However, it is possible to overwrite this setting, in which case VS .NET does not copy the referenced assemblies. As the mini-runtime of version 7.1.1 does not contain the .NET Wrapper runtime, the client application would not run in this case.

    Regards, Dietmar.
