Editing reports and HTML files with Developer Workbench

  • 1.  Editing reports and HTML files with Developer Workbench

    Posted Wed March 31, 2021 01:26 PM

Hello, we have a problem with the new Developer Workbench (version 8207) and the new version of DB2 Web Query 2.3.0. Both are from the latest version of the EZ-Install package.

From the Developer Workbench, I can't edit a report with InfoAssist directly in Workbench like before. Instead, it opens Internet Explorer and asks me to choose a metadata (creation process and not edition of the existing one).

If I try to edit a .mas file, it open Microsoft Access and not the integrated tool for metadata editing.

    Thank you in advance.

    Hello,

We are aware of this issue and are working on it with high priority. Please open at support case at http://www.ibm.com/mysupport and the Support team can help you set up a work-around.

In the meantime, if the report can be edited from InfoAssist (that is, it is a non-HTML report) or if you want to edit metadata, please use the web portal interface.

    Ann,

Has this problem been resolved? When will it be deployed?

    Thanks,

    Armando

    Hi Armando,

The problem is resolved in 2.3.0 Hotfix 2, which we are in the process of testing now. I will post an update to the forum when it is released.

    Best,

    Ann
