  • 1.  EDIINT outbound payload and data types

    Posted Wed March 22, 2006 01:20 PM

I have a customer requesting that I change the payload type and data type on outbound EDIINT transmissions to them. Has anyone done this before?

    Thanks,
    Bonnie Eadle

You mean content-type? and data type=stream/byte object?

    Please tell us more details.

Sorry, I’ll try to be clearer. In TN when I open an EDIINT document, on the Content tab there’s a named entry for ‘ediintdata’ with type ‘application/pkcs7-mime’; also a named entry for payload with type ‘Application/EDI-X12’. I thknk it’s those 2 types that they want changed.

Those are the standard content handlers used by EDIINT module for EDI X12 type.So what content-type they wanted to use in the payload?any custom contenthandler,if so what is the transaction type?

For handling payloads these 3 types are available

    application/edi-x12
    application/EDIFACT
    application/XML

I’m sending a custom flat file document via EDIINT, it’s the Embarc128 standard. So I’ve created a custom doc in TN, and they want me to send this:
    EMBARC-1.0
    EMBARC

I have no idea about if EDIINT module supports this custom payload/transport.

Hope someone will assist you on this.
