I did something similar a while back. What I ended up doing was for each level of the hierarchy have an optional prompt in the report. When you setup the drill through, map each level in the dashboard to the same level prompt in the report. Since the prompts are optional, it will only use the prompt with value(s) in it.

I have a hierarchy that I created on a dashboard
- Standard 1
- Standard 2
- Standard 3
...
- Standard 8
From the dashboard, we want to drill through to a report the report has prompts for the Standard 1, Standard 2 and Standard 3
If I drill down on the hierarchy and then click the drill through report, I don't get any results. I am sure, I am not getting results because Standard 2 value is passed as a Standard 1 value. When I setup the drill through to the report, it only shows Standard 1 as being on the dashboard.
Has anyone encountered this, and if so how did you resolve the issue?
The report am using as drill through is also a standalone report the user will be using.
