    Hi,

    We are using WAS 8.5 and are unable to bring up the DMGR which abends with

    BBOO0220E: HMGR0024W: An error was encountered while looking up the IP address for the host name of a core group member. The host name is s0w1.dal-ebis.ihost.com and the exception is java.net.UnknownHostException: s0w1.dal-ebis.ihost.com: s0w1.dal-ebis.ihost.com

    I am attaching the job output for reference.

    You are probably not going to like this answer, but WAS bakes the host name into its configuration when it is configured.  The only way to change the host name is to reconfigure the node by rerunning the configuration jcl jobs.
