Please ignore this thread. I opened the same question last night, but when it didn't show up in the list this morning, I assumed I didn't hit save or something, so I submitted the same question again. Then both showed up in the list. ;) I can't find a way to delete this question though. I am looking for a tool that can analyze some complex queries I am running against my db2 on cloud server, and hopefully suggest some db changes to improve the performance. From the docs, it seems like DMC should be able to do this, so I attempted to install it.
When configuring DMC to connect to db2 on cloud instance, the Test connection works ok, but when I click next, I get this error:
Error:
HWCREP0014E: The schema IBMCONSOLE has been used in this database, please specify another database information.
In my db2 on cloud instance, that schema already exists, I think because db2 on cloud has some of the functionality of DMC already built into it. However, I couldn't find any place in the db2 on cloud console where I could have it suggest db improvements. I found a place to dump out the explain information for my query, but unfortunately, that isn't enough to help me figure out what changes to make. I am looking something more like what db2advis would do, if I could actually log into the server, which I can't for db2 on cloud.
I looked through this forum to see if anyone else reported this problem, and I was surprised that no has, which means it likely has and I just couldn't find it.
