I need to collective knowledge of this group to answer this question.  What is the disk space usage of the LIC, OS and generally installed LPPs on an IBM i partition?  I can't find documentation on specific program sizes.  Trying to decide how small to make a partition that will be usable for small testing.

    Dear Eric

Another factor that can influence disk space requirement is whether or not you will have a lot of SQL/Query workload running in you IBM i LPAR.  If you already have an existing IBM i LPAR of similar workload, you can get a hint from WRKSYSSTS command screen and look at the field "Peak temporary used".   If you have no IBM i workload at all right now, use 100-200 GB as a rule-of-thumb.  But if you will run 100% SQL workload, you may need even a bit more.
