    Here is specifically what i am doing and what i am looking for.

    I am writing a script which gathers the information about the hardware installed.

    I can collect information like number of hard disk attached.
    but i could not get following information.

    1. bytes per sector for specific hard disk.
    2. No. of cylinders for specific hard disk.
    3. No. of sectors for specific hard disk.
    4. No. of heads for specific hard disk.
    5. No. of tracks for specific hard disk.

    I am also looking for this info. and Thanks for reply.

    Why in the world do you need to gather that information? If you're using SAN disk or RAID, its useless data.

    Is gather HW info your end goal? If not, you might want to divulge what you're trying to get done.

    Catch it and search it in Google. You'll get most information.
