Difference between Storage Types for Doctype

  • 1.  Difference between Storage Types for Doctype

    Posted Wed February 27, 2002 06:08 PM

    Hi,

can anyone tell me the difference between the Storage Types for Doctype (NoMapping and Mapping Doctype).

There is no exact definition in the documentation.

If I specify NoMapping I can’t define the value for compress or structure index. Is there then a default value for that properties ?

    Thanks,

    Wolfgang

The difference between “NoMapping” and “Mapping” is just a difference in the presentation. “Mapping” is exactly: “NoMapping” plus structureIndex and compress. In case of “NoMapping” both have their default values that is structureIndex:condensed and compress:smart.
