Hi,
Please see this link to the CSP V4.1 to EGL Migration White Paper.
https://www.ibm.com/developerworks/community/wikis/home?lang=en#!/wiki/W75c8733d99bb_4d55_9ee8_4dbc8c56ebee/page/Cross%20System%20Product%20v4.1%20Migration%20to%20EGL
You can download the white paper from there.
The main differences are:
a.) You have to be concerned with the CSP to VAGen migration considerations as there were differences in COBOL Gen at that time
b.) Source was stored in MSLs in CSP vs "packages" type organization as in VAGen...so you have to determine how to organize the code
c.) You still need to migrate "through" VAGen to get to EGL
I also just added the CSP to VAGen Migration Guide to the page above so that it is available for reference if you do not have this guide.
Note: There are business partners who have the knowledge and skill to do this type of migration if needed.
