Decision Center: Include Priority in DC Rules List?

  • 1.  Decision Center: Include Priority in DC Rules List?

    Posted Wed May 19, 2021 02:19 PM

I have to work with some unfortunately-organized (and of course, difficult to rewrite) rules where pretty much everything is ordered by priority. We're trying to expand our Decision Center usage to a group of people who really need the rule priority to be as prominent as possible because of this.

When looking at rules in a package/folder, is it possible to add a column to show priority along with rule name, last changed by, and last changed on? I know there are some customization options for DC, but wouldn't really know where to get started and like any developer, am always stretched in many directions.

    Thank you!

    -Brian

    Hi Brian,

    In fact this is available:

In the Business Console, click on your login name on the upper right, and select "Profile".

Then, in the profile settings, select "Grid columns".

You will see a bunch of properties that can be added to the column being displayed, and the priority is one of them.

After adding it in this "Grid columns" you will see the priority being displayed, and will be able to sort on that column when displaying rules.

    Hope this help,

    Erwan

Thanks, Erwan! Looks like that was added in 8.10.1, and we're still on 8.9.2. But we're planning on "upmigrating" before long, so I'll throw this on the backburner for now!
