  • 1.  DataPower no longer available as Docker image?

    Posted Thu December 01, 2022 08:46 AM
    Hi,
I tried yesterday to download a DataPower Docker image (I've done this many times before):

    > docker pull ibmcom/datapower
    Using default tag: latest
Error response from daemon: pull access denied for ibmcom/datapower, repository does not exist or may require 'docker login': denied: requested access to the resource is denied

Also, I used the Docker Desktop to see if it was available, but could no longer see ibmcom/datapower images, but could see other images with a different
    prefixes (e.g. cicnl/datapower).

Is it no longer possible to get the ibmcom/datapower images?
Also, to what degree is it recommended to use these other DataPower images?
    Docker Desktop detals

    Many thanks,
    Steve

Hi, Docker Hub is no longer used for IBM DataPower images; the free images now go to icr.io/cpopen/datapower/datapower-limited

    For example: docker pull icr.io/cpopen/datapower/datapower-limited:10.5.0.2

FWIW datapower-limited is briefly mentioned in https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/datapower-operator/1.2?topic=features-entitled-registry

Have a look here for all the options; developer license and other uses:

(Rest of the content deleted, because I didn't see the response from Pan Chan before; covers all the details)

Note: if you want to use any of the other editions (non-developer); you will need an entitlement key and a license.

Johan hi, thanks for that link.  I will ask to get that page updated with the new developers-limited repo

    OUTDATED: icr.io/integration/datapower/datapower-limited:<Version>

    CURRENT: icr.io/cpopen/datapower/datapower-limited:<Version>
