  • 1.  Create new images for Deployment PowerVC 2.2.0

    Posted Fri January 19, 2024 12:19 AM

    Hello All.

I am seeking assistance with creating AIX images for VM deployment.

    AIX Cloud Ready Image: AIX_v7.3_OVA_7300-02-01-2346_112023_LCD8293800.ova

I don't have a backup node currently so hoping to utilize the local node.

Steps/documents or a pointer in the right direction would be much appreciated.

    Warm Regards,

    Sasi

    Hi Nisar,

Thanks, it working as expected now.

Was due the setting on SAN i.e. Volume protection on, doesn't allow remove of the temp volume created on the SAN.

Volume protect needs to be disabled temporally for this this work.

    Cheers

    Sasi

    Hi Sasi,

PowerVC doesn't support having volume protection enabled.  For the correct functioning of PowerVC it will need to be disabled permanently, not just temporally for a piece of work.
