I had the same problem about a year and a half ago and this is the information I got from our then support person Rod Peterson:
If you are running v6.5, the type trees are located in the
\Mercator6.5\Trees\EDIFACT\ directory starting with ean.
If you are running v6.7, the type trees are packaged as a separate product. You need to purchase Ascential Pack for EANCOM V2.0 for Windows (NT/XP/2000) for DataStage TX (formerly Mercator Integration Broker) V6.7. I did learn from our engineer that the CONTROL or (CONTRL) message commonly used with EDIFACT is not part of the EDIFACT standard but is included in the EANCOM standard. The common version used is EANCOM 96A. A EANCOM 96A type tree (eanfd96a.mtt) is included in the base 6.5.2 installation.
There is also a type tree included in a patch for Commerce Manager 7.0 that is used to just handle the CONTRL messages.
I'm happy to send you my 96s version if you need it.
Good luck.
