Constants customizing on file-level

  • 1.  Constants customizing on file-level

    Hi,

for each project we are using at least 2 packages. One for the services and one for the constants. Now we want, that the customer could customizie their constants with an web-interface. It wont be a problem to change the "constants.xml"s with the webinterface, but if I changeed the files with an editor, the changes arent visible in the Developer. Could you explain me, how does wm work with the files. Does wm write something into the db or anything else?

    Hi,

webMethods is not writing anything into the database for packages.
So actually, even if it is not recommended nor supported by webMethods, you could modify the file containing the constants (in the ns… directory of the package) and reload the package for the constants to change.
