Hi Folks,

I am facing issue while saving a simple map step in a flow service. The connection got disconnected from
designer through error as could not save. Try restoring the session.

What are trying to achieve? Please describe in detail.

Trying to change and save a simple map step in an existing flow service.

Do you get any error messages? Please provide a full error message screenshot and log file.

Connection resets usually point to connectivity issues in a network. Please share the following as well

• Designer service development version and fix levels.
• Is the designer and the IS installed on the same machine? If not on the same machine, can you try pinging the machine on which IS is installed from Designer machine and check for any connectivity issues.
• Any detailed logs on the designer? Window->Show view - Error log.
• Any indication of errors on the Integration Server logs.

It was server was running fine and we didn’t to any update or fix installation recently. But, automatically I have started getting this issue.
Still, not able to save a simple map step.

Connection resets usually point to network issues. A few more things to test

• Can you try installing designer on the same machine as the IS and check if you still get the same issues.
• While the designer disconnects with connection reset, at the designer machine can you check if you can access IS admin from a browser?
• Check the IS admin page for any slowdown
• You can try wireshark to see if you find any issues(resets).
• If nothing helps, then I would suggest you to raise a support ticket.

This is the server side fix level. The steps I have shared are related to finding out designer and its plugin fixes fix level.

These kind of cases usually would probably ended up requiring packets capture to diagnose further what were transmitted.

The issue is resolved now. It was due to network issue between IS server ‘OS Box’ and remote server.
