    Yes, they are the same. I think IBM numbering and naming schemes are carefully designed to drive customers to distraction:-) Chances are if you look around (it's been a long time since I've had a 140) you'll probably find the 7043-140 designation on an affixed metal plate somewhere. You can also check the output of "lscfg -vp" and you'll likely see it there as well.
