    Hi, I have an issue with a PCI board to be installed on AIX 5.3.

    Using SMIT :
    1. On List Defined Devices
    siob0 Defined 06-08 4-Port Serial I/O Board

    2. LPP installed (as prerequisites by installation guide) :
    • devices.csii.all
    • devices.pci.0a124101
    • devices.syn_sio.all

    3. When trying to configure device ("mkdev -l 'siob0'"), failed with message :
    Method error (/etc/methods/cfgsiob):
    0514-038 Error loading kernel extension.

    4. errpt command gives following information :

    5. When I delete/reconfigure device, same symptoms.

    Any idea?
