Does anyone know how to conditionally hide a column in a lookup?  I can set the field to be hidden, however users can still search and find what we are trying to hide.
We want to hide skill levels so users don't see what others have for a skill level.  If they can search in the lookup for the skill level then they can figure out the skill.

    Hi,
I believe the only way to hide these things from lookups as well as all other places possible is to use a data restriction.  You might want to try using a security group data restriction -

Another option would be to have two lookup dialogs associated with two menu options that are each controlled by a sigoption.  Those that have rights to see skill level have that sigoption on and those that do not see the other.  If you export menus.xml and search for sigoption you can see examples.  Make sure you create a pair of sigoptions for each relevant app.
