Common practise in AS2 parameters...

  • 1.  Common practise in AS2 parameters...

With EDI in a traditional X.400 environment standards are applicable regarding parameters. This is mostly an agreement between a customer and its VAN.

With AS2, organisations are confronted with several different implementations of AS2. The standards as such leaves the specific implementation up to the user. Use of protocols (HTTP, HTTPS), use or certificates, synchronous or a-synchronous MDN’s, Naming fields (especially interesting topic when connecting partners through their VAN’s).

Our organisation (Ahold) is looking for some kind of common practise regarding parameters, in order to reduce AS2 connection profiles. Does anybody have some kind of experience on this, and for example what for example is Wallmart practice.
