has anyone experienced an issue like this?:

Data table column 'Resource Tower Metadata 1' has been published to a perspective under two different names, 'Sending Cost Element' and 'Receiving Cost Element.' When 'Receiving Cost Element' is added to a report table, it displays with the column heading 'Sending Cost Element.'
Fully qualified data element is: IT Resource Towers.IT Resource Towers Master Data.Resource Tower Metadata 1.

I've only seen this when adding the column to an existing table.  Some times old config on a table overwrites column names.  If you add this column to a new table does it do the same thing?

thanks for the response. yes, I recreated this issue with a new table in a new report. I added one of the values from the perspective and it displays with the name (col hdg) of the other value.

Spencer is attempting to reproduce this in a test environment and should have an update on your ticket soon.
