Collecting metrics on the HMC itself

I am wondering how I would go about collecting metrics about the HMC itself through the REST API. In particular, we are looking for filesystem/disk metrics, and CPU metrics. For example, if I had a /home and a /data directory on my HMC, I'd like to know things like how much space is there and how much is being used. I'd also like to know about its CPUs, and gather metrics like how much idle CPU power it has. I believe this data is available through the CLI, but I'm unsure if it can be gathered through the REST API.

Is there any way to gather these kinds of metrics on the HMC resource itself through the REST API?

    Best,

    Jake

There's currently no REST API for this, although it is something we're investigating.  To help us with understand the use cases for this info, could you tell us why you want to gather this info via REST API?
