  • 1.  cognos 8 dashboard in caonos Analytics

    Hello All,


    In our project, We are still using Cognos 8 version dashboard and client is happy ,It gives quick access of all the report folder wise. Please consider screenshot. I need help in 2 ways-

    1) If I set default run of report in excel format. It is showing reports has been downloaded. But page is not refreshing  and prompts or next page or previous page  options are  not coming. So if I need to run again, I have to refresh page and follow the folder path of that report.

    2) Is there any other option to achieve same kind of structure in CA

    Hi Nidhi,

    Please try the following:

    1. Viewing reports in Excel format.

    Users can run a standard report that is based on a SterlingSCV data mart. The default report format is often Microsoft Excel.To download and view the report users may need to change their Webbrowser settings.

    In Internet Explorer select Tools > Options > Security > CustomLevel and set File Download to Enabled.

    Users may also need to turn off the pop-up blocker in their Webbrowser to allow Cognos to download the report in Excel format.

    2. In Cognos Analytics (CA), you can output a report to named Excel tabs. You might find this to be a useful approach.
