Hi friends,

I need your advise!

I have installed WAS8.5 and created two AppSrv's and Dmgr.
From the Dmgr, I created a cluster and trying to add  both AppSrv. One member, AppSrv1 is added. But adding additonal member(AppSrv2), it fails. It say's already member already exists with same name, name must be unique.

I wonder, how this happens. My AppSrv profile has unique name only. It is not allowing me to add the AppSrv2.

Please advise.

You can only use one existing WAS server to create a cluster or include as a cluster member.

From the WAS v8.5 Infocenter - You can only add an existing application server to the cluster if you select that server as the first cluster member. You cannot add other existing application servers to that cluster after you create the first cluster member.
