Would changing the ip address (and the other information) be the correct procedure or is there another preferred procedure?

Sorry for the simple question, I have just inherited this server and am trying to muddle my way through some things.

    Thanks

All of the interfaces, (en0-en4) have one IP address (10.30.1.5) and the same NAMESERVER, Domain Name and default Gateway. I need to know the proper procedure to change this information on all interfaces. It is as simple as updating the information in smitty tcpip, or am I missing something?

    Thanks..
