    So I'm assuming that the 8 internal disks are spread over two separate SCSI controller backplanes. Does your VIOS profile have both backplanes in it's LPAR profile? Seeing 4 out of the 8 disks points to only have 1 configured in the LPAR profile.

    I'd be checking that first to be sure.
