  • 1.  Cant access: http://localhost/tamino/

    Posted Tue May 29, 2001 06:35 PM

    Hello,

I have installed the XML-Starterkit (XML Database)on Win2000 and Apache 1.3.20. It didn’t seem to recognize Apache, so I did the steps descriped in the install.txt-File:

    I added

    <Location /tamino>
    SetHandler ino

    to the httpd.conf - File.

I found a ApacheModuleIno.v1.3.6.dll -File, renamed and copied it to modules/ApacheModuleIno.dll and added to the httpd.conf-File “LoadModule ino_module modules/ApacheModuleIno.dll”.

    When try to access “http://localhost/tamino/
I get the message (after waiting a lot):

    "Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, h0077ejh@rz.hu-berlin.de and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

(Log says: File does not exist: c:/programme/apache group/apache/htdocs/tamino)

    instead of

    Not Found
The requested URL /tamino was not found on this server.

    like before (immediately).

    What could be wrong?

    thanks … Burghard

    hi!

after a complete removal of all involved components and an installation of Apache 1.3.12 it seems to work now.

Seems kind of touchy, this XML-Database

    Hi,

is your apache running as a service or do you start it each time you need it? Tamino installation can only find Apache when it runs as a aservice. Then, it’s quite comfortable (no hand-editing of *.confs necessary).

I am also not sure about the version of the Apache you use. I think the Tamin o Database version from the starter kit is only tested with something around 1.3.12.

    Kind regards,

    Andreas Sch

    Hallo Andreas,

thanx for that tip. I will take that into
account when installing the whole Starter Kit
again (now beeing stoped by another error).

It’s my impression too that the first one had someting to do with Apache 1.3.20. Besides, when re-installing now I will use Apache JServ 1.1 instead of 1.1.2 … hope it gets better then.

    Best regards … Burghard
