But when I add the virtual cd device from the vio server and mount a cd on it, I do not get a corresponding cd device on these 2 lpars. Any ideas? I've removed and re-added the device and tried different virtual media.

    How did you create your virtual devices ?

    Can you give output of commands
    • lsrep
    • For the fbo devices : lsdev -dev <device> -attr
    • For the vadpater of the 2 lpar : lsmap -vadapater <vhost_lpar>

    You know you got me looking at smoe other stuff with the commands you sent and I got one of them working. I'm gong to look at the other Monday and will let you know if I can make that one work also
