If your network is fast enough, you don't even notice the frame reload when clicking on an option.
I'd really rethink how cumbersome websm was before making such statements about version 7. As Nigel stated, its got many improvements that make it worth the upgrade. Its much faster when switching frames, the VIO tie-in is better, the property windows load quicker and the speed improvement over slow/vpn-like connections is wonderful.
