    This is a question from the June 20 GWC Lab Chat "Build, Socialize, and Manage World-Class Web APIs with WebSphere Cast Iron Live Web API Services":

    If you have a database hosted in Smart Cloud Enterprise (SCE), can we access this database from Cast Iron Live without having to open it to the public internet? i.e. behind the SCE firewall?

    Hi,

    You can have the SCE firewall restrictions done through the parameters.xml file available on the private image which you have created on which the database server is running.
