Hello, my question maybe simple but I am a newbie so I apologize in advance
I am analyzing the results of a clinical trial where I had 2 groups of patient who received a treatment or a placebo, group 1 = 22 patient and group 2= 21 patient.
I had serum biomarkers analyzed at baseline and at 2 months and the data is non-parametric
I compared the baseline of the 2 groups and the end result at 2 months for the 2 groups using Mann-Whitney + I compared the within-group result (before vs. after) for each group using Wilcoxon-signed rank test.
what correction shall be done to account for multiple comparison?
I think I need to multiply the P-values by 4 as a Bonferroni correction?? is that correct? If I do this then some P values end up being bigger than 1 and I have had a comment that it is unusual, so which is it?
