    Lots of good info on the AIX boot process, installation, LVM, SMIT, user accounts, etc. Don't know much about non-IBM books but I'm sure they are excellent resources as well.

    If you or your company have the cash, I'd also highly recommend the AIX Sysadmin I course given by IBM training. It's not cheap, but they really do a good job of drilling you on the basics.
