    This seems like a simple thing but cannot find the solution. IBM i - V7R4M0; BRMS and TS4300 Tape Library.

    We have a manual process whereby someone goes to the green screen BRMS and the TS4300 web page and manually moves tapes used in the previous night's backup to IO slots. Seems like a waste of time. Is there not a way for BRMS to "unload" the tape directly to IO slot? We have a unit with 12 IO slots and typically rotate 3 - 6 tapes offsite daily.

    you need a move policy to a different location than the tape library. eg. offsite... then the medias are sent to the io station.
