Thus far I've found the SOAP adapter to behave pretty much as documented, but I've had a few undesirable results with the WSDL importer that seem they they would be the kind of things others would have found by now if this tool is widely used.

In most cases, I did have to make some 'manual adjustments' to the resulting type trees and maps to get things to work - but these were pretty easy to figure out (looking at HTTP and SOAP adapter traces) and make. I think I've got 'the details' documented somewhere if you're 'interested'.

Starting with only a WSDL, I was able to get maps up & running in an hour or two. I've also done some more complicated testing where I used the PGP adapter to encrypt the payload data being passed to & from the web service - also accomplished with relative ease.

I haven't done this scenario before. How can I call a WSDL from the WTX map?
I'm using WTX 8.2 and not having the Webservices pack. I appreciate your help.
    Thanks.

Also, you do not need the Web Services pack in 8.2. It has been incorporated into the base Design Studio.

Here's what I've done so far:
    1. imported a WISDL into the wizard
    2. auto-created my type tree
    3. attempted to auto create my mapping from the type tree, but it didn't work (contained zero maps when completed)

I need to send a SOAP message over HTTP from our 8.2.0.4 WTX box to our SOLA box.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thank you,

My problem is now that none of the "rule" fields are filled in within my mapping output card. I found out by playing around with it that all of the white rule fields require a rule before it can be built. Is the information for the "rules" contained within the wisdl or XML files and just needs to be added?

    Thank you in advance!
