But when I try to run lssrc -a or related command , its giving error - system resource controller is not active. I also tried to run /usr/sbin/srcmstr to start srcmstr. This command is not giving any output and I am not able to start srcmstr. Now this machine has two problems : first I m not able to run src commands and second all the daemons are still inoperative.

Please try this command /usr/sbin/rsct/install/bin/recfgct and see if it brings up some subsystems. This command is to cycle the RMC subsystem. For the tcpip, startsrc -g tcpip. Hope these helps.

Well if you have to work with idiots then good luck.

I suggest you should sack the idiot that did it and then restore the system from a recent mksysb.

    HTH ;0)
