Hello Robert,
AJS is a brilliant product and for good reason it is called the Advanced Job Scheduler (AJS). The HTTP server you mention is indeed still part AJS, but frankly speaking it is a waste of your time looking at it. It seems to have been forgotten, once you see it in action you will agree (I hope). The implementation of AJS in Navigator for i it where to look when working with AJS. It you limit yourself to working with AJS in 5250 emulation only you miss out the goodies. Let me give you two examples: the option to add CPF messages to a command and the option to be able to omit a command in a scheduler job. This last can be done by using SQL, because after all AJS is using a database.
I hope this messages helps you saving time, if not feel 100 % free to completely ignore it

I opened up a case with IBM about this. Apparently they no longer use this as it's imbedded into Navigator now. But they still install it as part of the install as they haven't yet figured out how not to install it.

We installed 5770JS1 IBM Advanced Job Scheduler for i since it's a freebie now.
While in HTTPAdmin I notice the HTTP part of AJSP is running but the Application Server part of AJSP stays stopped, why?
