Does anybody know how to turn this thing off so it boots straight to an AIX login prompt?

    Thanks for your help.

Then again it could be SMS in which case change the boot mode from SMS to normal.

What is the menu description at the top of the screen?

What type of system is it? p4, p5, some old AIX 3.2.5 system? give us a clue!

When it boots AIX get them to send in the lsconf output, or at least email the lsconf | head output if they are not in the twentieth century :-)

Do you know how to turn off installation assist without having to reboot the system?

    Oh, it's a P5 running AIX 5.3
