I removed all entries with an lpp_id of the fileset from the odm classes lpp, inventory,
history and product. Thank you Sandeepr for this suggestion!
After odmdelete lslpp shows the following:
lslpp -h devices.common.IBM.mpio.rte
Fileset Level Action Status Date Time
Path: /usr/lib/objrepos
devices.common.IBM.mpio.rte
5.3.0.50 COMMIT COMPLETE 05/08/08 12:15:27
5.3.8.1 APPLY COMPLETE 05/08/08 13:27:40
After COMMIT and re-install of devices.common.IBM.mpio.rte 5.3.8.1:
lslpp -h devices.common.IBM.mpio.rte
Fileset Level Action Status Date Time
Path: /usr/lib/objrepos
devices.common.IBM.mpio.rte
5.3.0.50 COMMIT COMPLETE 05/08/08 12:15:27
5.3.8.1 COMMIT COMPLETE 07/02/08 10:02:10
Path: /etc/objrepos
devices.common.IBM.mpio.rte
5.3.0.50 NONE
5.3.8.1 COMMIT COMPLETE 07/02/08 10:18:51
Then I re-installed the base level fileset (5.3.0.50) with the -force flag and
got a bosboot verification error.
bosboot -ad hdisk2
0301-154 bosboot: missing proto file: /usr/lib/drivers/aixapdiskpcmke
lslpp now says:
lslpp -h devices.common.IBM.mpio.rte
Fileset Level Action Status Date Time
Path: /usr/lib/objrepos
devices.common.IBM.mpio.rte
5.3.0.50 COMMIT COMPLETE 07/02/08 10:49:22
Path: /etc/objrepos
devices.common.IBM.mpio.rte
5.3.0.50 NONE
5.3.8.1 COMMIT COMPLETE 07/02/08 10:18:51
lppchk -v
lppchk: The following filesets need to be installed or corrected to bring
the system to a consistent state:
devices.common.IBM.mpio.rte 5.3.8.0 (not installed; requisite fileset)
devices.common.IBM.mpio.rte 5.3.8.0 (not installed; requisite fileset)
devices.common.IBM.mpio.rte 5.3.0.60 (not installed; requisite fileset)
devices.common.IBM.mpio.rte 5.3.7.0 (not installed; requisite fileset)
What should I do? Thank you for any help!
Patrice
