  • 1.  AIX 6.1 booting issue

    From AIX 5.3 migrated to AIX 6.1 with TL03. Before migrating to 6.1 taken the alt_disk_install copy. Migrated on hdisk1 with AIX 6.1 booting with hdisk1 done after i updated to TL03 it is not booting error code 00c9 restarting again. I boot in single user mode and verified in bootlist hdisk1 is bootable image. I made to hdisk0 and restarted AIX 5.3 is working fine. Whenever i am going to single user mode it is always booting with hdisk0 only instead of going to hdisk1 (AIX 6.1) to run the bosboot also not posssible because of booting with hdisk0. I'm not able to wake up the alt_dsik_install also because of higher version of AIX 6.1 on other disk. What may be the problem and how can i proceed ?

    Sounds like the system is dumping (0c9)? By any chance, are you running auditing on your systems? Make sure you are migrating to the latest service pack for AIX 6.1 TL3.
