When you say "I am not picking up the additional space", are you saying that when you run "lspv -size <your_disk>" on the VIOS CLI, you are getting the same value before and after the backend LUN size has been actually increased?

That is correct.  I have actually sent in a snap and devscan to be analyzed on this issue and there are no issues found on my VIO.  I now believe it to be an issue on the EMC CLARiiON.
